IPS brings you their annual conference dedicated to infection prevention and control.

This one-day conference will take place at the Birmingham Conference Centre in Birmingham on 18th  November 2022 and will focus around the theme of Vascular Access. The conference will feature a rich programme of informative sessions and a range of exhibiting companies.

Who should attend?

This is a free one-day event which is open to all health professionals, but it may be of particular interest to: infection prevention and control practitioners, IV nurse specialists, vascular access teams, OPAT teams, critical care nurses, microbiologists, anaesthetists, and anyone with an interest in vascular access and current infection prevention practices related to vascular access.

Abstract Submissions

The organising committee for the IPS IV Forum would like to welcome abstract submissions for projects that an individual or team have undertaken, whether that is to:

  • Reduce infection
  • Reduce complications of IV therapy
  • Expansion of your team/ roles and responsibilities
  • Education
  • Patient involvement
  • Or indeed anything around vascular access improvement.

The two successful abstracts chosen will be asked to present a 15-minute oral presentation. Full details of abstract submissions can be found on the event website.
