Anticoagulation Management Theory & Practice

This course enables autonomous practice in dealing with fundamental and more complex problems of oral anticoagulation management.

During this three-day course you will explore the theory underpinning anticoagulation management as well as the pharmacology of vitamin K antagonists and the relevant medication, side effects, antidotes, interactions and dosing. The course will also cover the mangement of anticoagulation and prevention of complications on the basis of current guidelines and existing research evidence.

Who is this course for?

The course is open to multidisciplanery health care professionals, therefore offering the opportunity for individuals to learn from, and inform, people from other specialities.

How is the course taught?

The course consists of pre-course learning, three days of lectures, seminars, facilitated group discussions and practical workshops.


In order to successfully complete this course and receive your Certificate of Attendance you must pass a multiple choice questionnaire.
