October Half Term: Eye Dissection Workshops

With the help of an expert, you will be led through the dissection of an eye* to understand how the images we see are formed. Find out about each part of the eye - lens, cornea, iris, optic nerve and retina - and discover how they work together to create the images we see. By the end of the workshop you will understand the blind spot, why we blink, the purpose of tears and how to look after your eyes.

These practical workshops are perfect for all the family to take part in.

*Animal eye

What will it cost?
Normal museum admission charges apply and there is an additional charge of £3 per eye payable on arrival at the workshop. Don't forget that if you already have an annual ticket, then admission to the museum is free and you will only need to pay for the workshop.

Timings:
Workshops will take place at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
